Guided by an expert, we explore our valleys in search of flowers and plants that grow naturally in this area: primroses, violets and anemones in spring; poppies, mallow, thyme and oregano during the warmer months. We then make our way down to the banks of the Luretta stream to find wild Mint and Iris.
Wild orchids are another highlight, including Orchis purpurea, Ophrys apifera and other native species.
And then there are the trees and shrubs: downy oak, hornbeam, hazel and wild rose.
Depending on the season, you will discover a rich and ever-changing variety of local flora, with our expert explaining the different species you encounter along the way.
A small guide to the plants and flowers seen during the walk is included as a keepsake of the experience.
