Feathered, not Feared
meet the birds of prey, watch a flight demonstration and experience handling a falconer’s glove
This exciting experience is one of our tried-and-tested activities, in collaboration with a professional falconer accompanied by the birds he cares for and trains at a certified wildlife centre.
The birds of prey featured may vary depending on the time of year, their health and the activity schedule.
The group will meet at a suitable venue with a meeting room and outdoor space. On arrival, participants will attend a brief introduction to the world of falconry and learn more about the different species present that day.
You may meet a Harris's hawk, tawny owl, eagle owl, parrot, falcon and eagle.
This will be followed by a captivating flight demonstration, offering you a close-up view of the grace, power and skills of these extraordinary birds.
Each participant will then have the opportunity to wear a falconer's glove, hold a bird of prey on their fist, try flying the bird and take memorable photographs.
Duration: approximately 2 hours
Clothing: comfortable and casual
Children: must be accompanied by an adult
For large groups, the experience can take place in a specially designated area, while small groups can enjoy it at a wildlife centre.
Also suitable for senior guests and people with disabilities.
