The lavender harvest
Surrounded by the peace of the countryside, this experience dedicated to lavender and medicinal herbs offers us the opportunity to discover the authentic rhythms of nature and learn about the farming practices behind sustainable, high-quality production.
The visit begins in the cultivated fields, where participants can walk among fragrant rows of lavender, observe the different stages of the plants' growth and immerse themselves in the colours and scents of the season. Along the way, we will learn about cultivation techniques, soil care, flowering times and harvesting methods designed to preserve the natural properties of the plants at their best.
One of the most enjoyable moments of the experience is the opportunity to pick a few sprigs of lavender yourself, and take it home as a reminder of the day.
The visit continues with an introduction to the world of medicinal and aromatic herbs, discovering how they are grown, selected and processed. We will follow the journey of the raw ingredients through the various stages of production: the first takes place directly on the farm, where the plants are dried, prepared and processed using methods that preserve their natural qualities. The final stage — the production of cosmetics — is carried out by specialised external laboratories in accordance with the required technical and quality standards.
The farm's crops extend across 28 hectares of land bordering the beautiful Monteventano Castle, privately owned by a renowned German painter. We will then have to admire the castle from the outside and stop for some memorable photographs.
We will end the experience with a tasting of natural products on the lawn, and before leaving, you will receive a cosmetic gift.
This is an authentic and relaxing experience, perfect for anyone wishing to spend a few hours surrounded by nature, discover the value of medicinal and aromatic plant cultivation, and take home the fragrance of freshly picked lavender.
